Our Nyakio Experience
We received the following products from the collection : The Kenyan Coffee Face Polish , Tamanu Firming Face Balm , Red Ginseng Line Smoothing Eye and Lip Cream and the Maracuja & Yangu Soothing Oil . We loved the origami packaging and the personalization of each box . It made the presentation of the product that much more special and showed how much love Nyakio herself put into the overall package .
The Kenyan Coffee Face Polish construction was amazing . It was easy to twist open and close making it easy to apply to the face . Before applying this to our face , we used a cleanser to gently wash . In the instructions , it recommends the polish as a second step . The exfoliation process wasn ’ t too rough on the skin , but certainly removed any impurities . The smell wasn ’ t too harsh and was also calming to the skin .
Now onto our favorite : The Tamanu Firming Face Balm . If you ’ re looking for something that immediately hydrates your skin , look no further . This product was AMAZING . Most importantly was the scent . We ’ re coffee lovers over here and it smelled just as that , but 100 % more pure and fresh . This was certainly our favorite . One thing to note is if you have oily skin , it may be best to only wear this balm at night and not in your morning routine . Your skin can appear overly oily , but of course , super moisturized . really give a true statement on how this product works because we used it for such short time , but as far as application , smell and packaging , they get an A +.
Lastly , the Maracuja & Yangu Soothing Oil was our next favorite product . We love how easy it is to apply the product , as it comes in a tube with a spout . Just drip three or four drops into your hand and apply . The only recommendation we have about this oil is to only use it at night . Again , your face will be super oily after applying the product , but when you wake up , it will be a lot less oily , and super refreshed . The scent of this product also was amazing .
Overall , this collection was amazing . Even though we want to test the product further to see long-term results , the short-term results were just as amazing . The presentation of each product made our experience even more special . The scents …. Like we just got each product from Kenya and India itself .
