Social Committee

2018 was truly a challenging year for the social committee. We ran a tight ship with a smaller
committee and had an extra event. A special thanks to Bridget for her asistance to the committee.
The social events provide for society member networking opportunities and require focussed
planning and work and the committee ensures professional presentation of the events.
Committee mebers allocate personal time to assist with all the social events. They set up the
venues, assist with the registration desks, source items for goody bags, prizes and lucky draws
and pack the goody bags. They also investigate venues/presenters for the social programmes
and help the office with many other activies associated with a social event.

Golf Day 22 May - 22nd Tournament
After many years absence from this top quality course, we revisited the Zwartkops Country Club
in Pretoria.
A stunning afternoon was had by all participants. A pink ball competition was introduced
alongside the tournament brining a new challenge to the event. A huge amount of support was
received from the industry as many companies hosted fun and interactive tee boxes. The best tee
box was won by Savannah Fine Chemicals.
The tradition of the sale of Mulligan’s continued and the monies collected was donated to the
NSRI.
We were again in a position to present every player with a goody bag and a prize due to the
support from our dedicated industry associates. The top four ball prize was presented to Natchem
who took home a first place prize of a voucher, hamper and an exclusive weekend away.
