Wits Career Day-29 April 2016
Coschem took part in a career day hosted by the University of the Witwatersrand( Wits) to inform students on the myriad job opportunities in the cosmetics, personal care and home care industries. These include research and development, process engineering, microbiology and biochemistry, quality, safety, safety, health and environmental technology, procurement and logistics, marketing and sales, legislation and compliance. The Coschem booth was hosted by the following members Kirsten Scott, Lyndsay Calenborne, Kim MacCallum; Liezanne van der Walt and Ronald Makola.
Industry and society promotion Apart from promoting the Coschem Facebook page, flyers on the society and its various activities, and the industry as a whole were handed out along with samples from Amka and copies of various editions of SA Pharmaceutical & Cosmetic Review.
The flyers provided the students with comprehensive information on the society and how it supports its members. The Coschem diploma was also a key point of discussion on the day.
Laboratory Opening – 2 September 2016 The inaugural opening of the laboratory took place on 2 September 2016. These facilities will be utilized for training purposes.
Communicating with members Regular updates and reports are loaded on to both the Coschem and IFSCC websites.
