BIRDHOUSES AND BIRD FEEDERS 4.2 NARC Approval may be necessary depending on the requirements of your specific neighborhood. ACC approval is not required as long as all Master Guidelines are met. 1. Obtain an application form from Kings Ridge Management Office (CMO) located at the clubhouse. Submit the application form with a copy of the following; the guideline, a drawing indicating placement, the product data with specifications, and any other pertinent information. Return your completed application to the CMO. Call 811 before the start of any construction. Do not start construction of any improvement, alteration, or addition to any existing structure or make any site improvements or changes prior to approval. 2. One birdhouse and/or one bird feeder are permitted on a revocable, annual and conditional basis. If the birdhouse or bird feeder is not maintained or otherwise becomes offensive, the NARC or ACC has the authority to rescind approval at any time and to require removal of the birdhouse or bird feeder within 30 days of notification. . 3. Place birdhouse and/or bird feeder in the rear yard only; either on a ground-supported pole not to exceed 3 inches in diameter or suspended/mounted on a tree. The proposed location shall be at least 5 feet from the property line and at least 5 feet from any other mulch bed to allow for lawn maintenance. (Exception in Whitehall) 4. Ground supported or tree suspended/mounted birdhouses or bird feeders may not be higher than 8 ft. from the ground to the top of the birdhouse or bird feeder. Please note: Shepherds hooks are not permitted to hold birdhouses or bird feeders. 5. Size and appearance: The NARC will consider the size and appearance of the birdhouse or bird feeder as appropriate to the location. The maximum height shall not exceed 30 inches, and a maximum width of 18 inches. 6. If a ground supported birdhouse or bird feeder is not located in an existing planting bed, then the homeowner shall provide and maintain a mulched area at least 3 ft. in diameter at the base of the support. 7.
