FLORIDA FRIENDLY LANDSCAPING STANDARDS
Florida-friendly landscaping encompasses the use of drought-tolerant turf, flowers,
vines, groundcovers, shrubs, and trees that might result in the reduction of irrigation.
For conversion of existing landscaping, the homeowner is required to submit an
application and include one copy of landscape plans. All other requirements of
Article XV Architectural Control, in the Document Book for Kings Ridge
Community Association, Inc., must be met.
Any changes to lawn and landscaping plans must be approved by the
Neighborhood Architectural Review Committee and the Kings Ridge Architectural
Control Committee. When choosing Florida Friendly plants homeowners should
choose varieties that reduce water consumption. Information on gardening
with annuals and perennials in Florida, check out website;
htts.www.edis.ifas.ufl.edu
Any landscaping plan must prevent encroachment of the Florida-friendly plants
into abutting property.
