Corpus qualify six teams into knock out cup finals at leckwith
U14A Girls 5th!
8th place for U14B Girls!
On the 18th of June the A&B U14 girl’s athletics teams went to Cardiff International Sports Stadium to compete in the A&B Cup Finals. The A team came joint 5th with Whitchurch in their final with an overall total of 46 points. All of the team competed very well; Chelsea Parker came 3rd in the 200m with an excellent time of 28.21s. Sofia Vella competed superbly in the 1500m coming first with the winning time of 5:13.53s. Lydia Burton threw very well in the Shot Put coming 4th, throwing a distance of 7.44m. Donna Carre performed amazingly in the Discus coming 2nd, throwing a distance of 17.22m. All did extremely well and represented the school with pride- well done to all. The B team also did very well coming 8th in their cup final with a total of 39 points. All competed to the best of their ability and showed what they can do. Isabella Lloyd did very well in the 100m coming 6th with a time of 15.35s. Ellie Fishlock performed excellently in the Shot Put coming 4th, throwing a distance of 6.97m. Joyce Akpotabore won the discus by throwing a superb distance of 18.92m. Caitlin Smith also did extremely well coming 3rd in the javelin with a throw of 16.87m. A huge well done to everybody who competed, you all did very well and showed great determination and spirit. Well done girls!
