Our school Corpus Christi High School took part in a fun run/stride run to raise money for the P.E hall to help us improve our strength and our abilities .The stride run took place on Friday the 16th Of May 2014, and was an energetic fun run for the Year 7 pupils. We enjoyed the stride very much whilst running with our friends. Most of the year sevens ran 2k some ran more some ran less. I ran 7 laps (GABBY) and I ran 8 laps to cheer on my friends(CHARLOTTE). We’re both very proud of the people who ran the Stride run and the people who donated money for the P.E department to help us.
Raising over ten pounds was the least we could raise but, more people chose to get more and more sponsors, even over twenty five pounds. For the fun run we got to wear t-shirts that were sponsoring our stride run. There were four choices of colours – red, green/blue, red and white, we chose green/blue, after the run was finished we got to keep the t-shirts and take them home. After running over 6 laps around the school field, we sat down for a rest then we all had group photos. We had a photo with the whole group, then the girls, then 2 pictures with our friend’s nice and serious then funny. I jumped on my friends back (Gabby).
I think the stride run was great fun I would definitely hope to have another chance to take part in a fun run again- Gabby. Also Thank you to all the teachers who organised the stride run for the year sevens and giving us the opportunity to take part and sponsor and raise money.
