Among the big bands, to mention but a few, are Addis Acoustic Project, Nubian Arc, Jazzmaries, Wudassie and Ras. These bands are relatively successful given that they were all established recently with highly experienced, talented and educated musicians. Many of them play the old Amharic or other local folklore songs with contemporary genresmainly jazz. Other bands such as Zagol, Lubak, The Akebulans, Hasset, etc. are some of the bands established by quite young artists who started from scratch and struggled to find their feet. Newly Formed Lubak band was established by five members on June 2013. Almost all the members are graduates of Yared School Music, a prestigious local music school that has more than 50 years of experience. One of the band members has studied at Seminary Jazz School. Some of them have
