Operation Hunger Operation Hunger is a non-profit organization which came into existence in 1980 and has a history of concern for the nutritional well-being of people in South Africa. The organization is working with key role players such as the state and other NGOs as partners in the process of poverty alleviation. Operation Hunger works with local communities to initiate locally specific development programmes designed to create an environment conducive to child growth.
