Service Offering
Awareness campaigns in the communities that the Smile Foundation
services are essential and help to
overcome stigmas and discrimination against young people who
have facialdeformities. The aim of
the Smile Foundation is to provide
these youngsterswith access to
(often simple) medical procedures
and give them a chance to lead a
normal, happy life.
At this stage the Smile Foundation
is based in seven Academic Hospitals in five provinces within South
Africa. Theyhave developed and
established a model that is in the
process of being rolled-out into all
Academic hospitals in the country.
