Communications There are a number of ways in which staff can keep up to date with news and projects taking place across the organisation, as well as access general information needed on a daily basis. More information on the Communications Team can be found on OnePlace (our intranet) under Services/Communications. CE Newsletter The CE Newsletter is sent out fortnightly via email and includes commentary by the CE about current issues affecting the BOPDHB and the health sector. It also highlights the successes and developments of current DHB projects and services. Checkup Checkup is our staff magazine. Written by staff, for staff, it is edited and designed in-house by the Communications Team and includes stories and photos from people and departments across the organisation. Reading Checkup is a great way to keep up to date with the latest projects and achievements, as well as find out what colleagues get up to outside of work. Checkup is published quarterly via email and is posted to the What’s New section on the OnePlace Home page. Hard copies are also sent out to each department for their staff room/area. DOCMAN Docman is the BOPDHB’s document management system. It is home to all corporate documentation using Sharepoint. Docman can be found the home page of OnePlace on the right hand side menu. Health Matters Health Matters is the BOPDHB’s stakeholder newsletter. It is published five times a year in two of the free community papers – the Weekend Sun in the Western Bay and the Bay Weekend in the Eastern Bay. The publication includes a message from the Chair of the Board and the Chief Executive Officer as well as newsworthy stories about what’s happening in the DHB and/or funded by the BOPDHB. Copies of previous editions of Health Matters can be found on OnePace, under the ‘I want/Info About Us’ menu tab. Click on Corporate Publications. OnePlace – our intranet OnePlace is where staff can find detailed information about each department/service and get access to news items and feature stories which are updated frequently as well as forms, policies and procedures, the clinical intranet, the staff telephone directory, and much more. Staff forums These Q&A sessions take place quarterly at Whakatāne and Tauranga and give staff the opportunity to put questions directly to the CE and Executive Team members. The CE gives an overview of ‘how we are travelling’ and other Executive members highlight developments in their areas. Announcements of when and where staff forums will take place are sent out via email and posted on the What’s New section of OnePlace. 23
