Ornellaia and Guado Al Tasso wines are the most popular among his clients. Other types of wine on the menu include; Solaia, Tignanello and Masseto. Meat such as Pappardella Funghi Porcini and Tbond or lamb chop goes well with these types of wines. “Osteria is soon opening another branch, a new small restaurant and a homemade ice crème in Malindi ,we are also exploring ways of opening another joint in Nairobi’s Westlands area.” However Corti advises wine-lovers, especially the youth not to abuse wine. “As a businessman, I want to be appreciated by creating job opportunities and investing in the wine business just like any other,” he says. rowing up in a wine-making family back in Italy, Maurizio Corti, the proprietor of a chain of restaurants known as Osteria in the country, remembers how he secretly held a passion to be a successful wine dealer. He says for people to understand the philosophy of wine, it’s important to connect it with the value of the wine as a culture. In 2002, the Italian investor opened up his first restaurant in Nairobi to establish the best wine restaurant in the market.

He was not disappointed He soon learnt that Kenyan people appreciate not only drinking wine, but also drinking good wine that has value and connects them with their lifestyle. The growing demand for his wine prompted him to open more branches with the recent one named Warwick Centre in Gigiri.
