Series (BWPS) sees a variety of long offshore
races conducted along the east coast of
Australia between July and April. Each race
is unique and offers crew the opportunity
to develop their navigational, weather and
boatmanship skills.

f f The Wednesday Waterford Series is
scheduled throughout the Winter months.
Wednesday races are fun, social and
competitive races.
f f Starting time: From 1400hrs.
Lion Island Saturday Series
f f The Lion Island Series is held on each
Saturday during May and is characterised
by the boats sailing around Lion Island. This
is a fun, social and competitive event that
commences during the Winter season

racing. Crews and guests return to Halyards
bistro post-racing for social get-together and
the weekly presentation.
f f Starting times vary depending on the event
destination.
f f Race length average: 120-150 minutes.
f f The race format covers a wide range of
conditions in a variety of courses between 18
and 630 nautical miles. There is a mixture of
multiple days, overnight (Category 1 & 2) and
day events (Category 3).
f f The racing format is Non-Spinnaker, around
the cans (fixed and or laid marks) inshore on
Pittwater.

f f The racing format includes both Spinnaker
and Non-Spinnaker, around the cans and
racing on Pittwater and Broken Bay.
f f Race length average: 120 minutes.
f f Starting times: From 1200hrs.
