Sailing Programme
The Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club is one of Australia’s
leading Clubs within the sport of sailing and is regarded as
one of the country’s premier sailing Clubs.
YACHT RACING
The Club’s sailing programme and activities
reflect this standing, and are second to none.
The Club takes pride in its ability to host high
quality, exciting, fun and social events in a
pristine environment. Our professional event
administrators ensure that our yacht racing
is innovative, safe and user orientated with
a varied programme, combining inshore and
offshore racing with racing conducted all year
round. During the Twilight months the schedule
of events sees the addition of a Women’s
Tuesday Twilight Series and a Thursday
Twilight Series which is open to all.
Members and visitors of any age or ability
can enjoy sailing through the Club’s various
classes, divisions, great sailing locations and
events offered. The Club actively encourages
safe sailing and actively pursues a range of
initiatives aimed at minimising the risk to the
sailors and boats competing.
Crew are always welcome to join races and
an online crew and boat register is available

to match boat owners and crew together, be it
casually or for an event’s full Series.

ANNUAL PROGRAMME
Club Marine Wednesday Series
f f The Wednesday Series comprises of
four seasonal Series held every Wednesday
afternoon throughout the year. Wednesday
races are fun and social and sees a range of
yacht designs participate.
f f The racing format is Non-Spinnaker, around
the cans (fixed and or laid marks) inshore on
Pittwater.
f f Race length average: 120-150 minutes.
f f Starting time: From 1400hrs.
