Cornerstone No. 182, page 3
Our experiences in worship and with prayer, the various ways in which we
express our faithfulness and commitment to God are what gives shape and
voice to our proclamation of the Gospel. Whether it is on occasions such as the
church weekend or in our regular meeting together for worship Sunday by
Sunday, we are all disciples. As such we are always learning and being shaped,
indeed reshaped, by our relationship with God whom we know in Jesus.
Although we have recently finished reading through the Gospel of Mark
together in church it’s true to say, in fact, it is never at an end! The story of
Jesus Christ, the Gospel, the Good News of God, continues
, until
that promised day when Christ will come again!
Meantime, it’s all about Jesus, Mark says to the church! We are made and
bound by the love of God, given in Christ the Son, who calls us into his blessing.
Reformed, always reforming we seek to find new ways to touch the hearts of
all to share the authentic, beautiful and challenging love of Christ Jesus our
Lord.
Your minister and friend,
Ian
