I read a book titled " Resisting Happiness" written by Mathew Kelly. One of his statements reads-"We are only here on earth for a blink of an eye. This is not our home. That's why the happiness that God wants and created for us is very different from the fleeting happiness and momentary pleasures of this world. The kind of happiness he wants for us in this life is a rare kind of happiness that is not dependent on situations or circumstances. It is easy to be happy when every thing is going well. But Christian joy allows us to be happy like Paul was when he was in prison."
"Life is a pilgrimage, but sometimes you need a pilgrimage to discover life. We are journeying in this life toward the sacred city, toward the heart of God-- heaven."
It has been my experience that there wiil be tough times during this journey toward the heart of God but the blessing is during these tough times found that God is with me encouraging, guiding and loving me through it all.
Peace,
Helen
The Cornerstone Foundation would not be in existence today if it were not for people like you. So, I thank all of you volunteers who have spent multiple hours performing multiple tasks to help Cornerstone. Whether it’s volunteering at the shelter, clothing bank etc. soup, kitchen, food cupboard, community center, or to you who spent hours successfully planning fundraising event for the Cornerstone.
