Cornerstone's Mission
Welcome to Cornerstone Foundation's Fall newsletter. It has been a busy year with the growth of the Food Cupboard and celebrating its 2nd anniversary, a brand new website and website address,
and a revamped Youth Program. 2019 should be another growth year for Cornerstone so stay tuned and please keep supporting our efforts!
With the holidays and cold weather approaching, it is always important to keep our mission in mind to:
"Feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and shelter the homeless."
Without the generosity of the community,
we would not achieve this mission.
Voya Financial Employees Wear Blue Jeans for Cornerstone
On Fridays during the months of September and October Voya Financial employees are donating to Cornerstone to wear blue jeans. Each employee who wished to wear blue jeans on Fridays during those months donated $20 in advance. Helen Syriac, Executive Director of Cornerstone and Christine Filanowicz, Director of The Clothing Bank Etc. visited Voya at their Windsor location in September to receive the check. Cornerstone appreciates the generosity from Voya Financial employees!
Special thanks to Kerrie at Voya!
Thank you!
(L-R) Christine Filanowicz, Helen Syriac and Sean, from Voya.
