The Clothing Bank Etc. is located at 3 Prospect Street in Rockville (down the driveway). It is open to clients on Wednesdays from 10 am to 2 pm and Thursdays 12 pm to 4 pm. Visits to the Clothing Bank are limited to once per month.
The Clothing Bank Etc. sponsors a variety of events throughout the year for the community. The most recent, in August, was the 3rd annual Backpack Event for children going back to school. Everything was given out at no cost. With the goal of promoting education, several retired school teachers were on hand to talk about reading and its importance.
The students were given the opportunity to choose their own backpack and fill them with the supplies required for their grade. There were also a good supply of books for the students to choose from and take home. They also raffled off three new student desks.
All the items were donated to Cornerstone Clothing Bank Etc. through the generosity of the community.
In April, they held a successful Prom Event which enabled young ladies to attend their prom. There was a large supply of gowns, shoes and accessories to choose from. In addition, there was one gentleman who left with a tux and shoes.
Make-up help and a seamstress were available during the prom event as well.
On October 28th, Cornerstone will host a Costume Contest & Party for children ages 2 to 10. Tickets are available at the Clothing Bank during client hours.
For the second year, The Clothing Bank Etc. will have The Christmas Corner. It is a corner filled with holiday cheer. They are now accepting donations of anything Christmas or Hanukah.
Clothing Bank Etc. donations may be dropped off directly inside while closed to clients for restocking, Knock on the door. Otherwise, use the drop boxes near the entrance for your convenience.

Items that are needed: Clean clothing (all sizes- men’s, women’s, girl’s, boy’s, baby’s) housewares, linens, small furniture, indoor and outdoor tools, small appliances, small electronics, toys and books.
The Clothing Bank Etc. has a wonderful group of volunteers. Without them, the extra events for clients would not be possible.
