Invitation to A Quiet Day at St. John’s Territet
What is a Quiet Day?
A Quiet Day is a deliberate intention to share with people a day that will include
times to be quiet together and space for individuals to be quiet on their own.
Words, pictures, music, symbols and other things may be included, but the
quiet will be the special emphasis of the day.
The day will have a rhythm of prayer and talks and silent reflection. The
opportunity for silence and what to do with it will be explained and guided to
some extent. Although silent you can read Scripture, go for a walk, sit indoors
or outside and just “be” in the presence of God. There will be a programme for
the day but whether you attend the session talks or corporate prayers is entirely
up to you. Lunch will be taken as a group together but eaten in silence allowing
a new experience of community. Music will be played as we eat together.
If you are not sure about whether to attend please contact Caroline and talk to
her about it. [email protected]
