If You Stand For Nothing You'll Fall for Anything.
Graffiti is a problem all over the world. However making a stand against public
vandalism can backfire and create more difficulties for all concerned.
Sometimes it can fuel more of the same. It means the problem is often ignored.
Lausanne city authorities however, have found a more creative way of
combatting some of the less desirable graffiti that appears on public buildings
and street furniture. They discovered that among graffiti artists there is a kind
of code of honour that no-one will draw over another artist's graffiti. So they
commissioned serious graffiti artists to take up the challenge by replacing
vandalised walls and street furniture with more thought provoking art.
