Some news from Hartzel
Dear Pam, A literally warm greeting from Denmark as it is getting warmer now here. I am sorry that I have to respond to your letter in email instead of by mail. It may be unpolite, so please forgive me. I was too occupied by so many things and doesn ' t able to send you a letter immediately. And I think it is much better to do it via email since it ' s a bit urgent. Glad I manage to find your email in my inbox. Greatly appreciate of thinking about me for the church weekend. I would love to join but unfortunately my savings won ' t allow me. I have just been to Amsterdam earlier this month for a women ' s conference together with the Minister ' s wife here and some ladies from the church. It was an amazing and wonderful experience. We had Jill Briscoe as our speaker with the theme, My Rock and my Refuge: Finding Joy in Difficult Places. Grateful to our Lord for granting me that experience. He has given me a time to rest in His presence, reminded me of His promises, strengthened me with His word that has been shared to us and challenged me to grow more in Him. I was saddened by the news about Ms. Helen. I am keeping her and her family as well in my prayer. Me and my family is also going through a trial at the moment. Every one of us is at some point have difficulties in life and goes through trials. Thanks to our Lord for His grace and mercy that sustains us with strength and holds us fast so that we may not fall. Indeed He is our rock and refuge. I may not be able to join the church weekend but will visit there on July when I will have a longer vacation. I am just waiting for my host family for their final decision on which week they will be traveling which means I can also travel on my own. The Lord has placed me into a kind family as He always does. My work isn ' t easy, it is so difficult and very tiring at times. But I praise the Lord that He sustains me with strength and patience to finish what I have started here. I decided to stay with them until next year since I am allowed to stay in Denmark for two years. After that I am still figuring out what I should do next. I look forward to seeing you all and spend some time with you. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness, love and care. Blessings, Hartzel
