Today I work 360º on Betternot.rest , from development to social media. I am also an entrepreneur, so far all the costs related to the project are being financed by me and not through donations. We intend to use the funds generated by the crowdfunding campaign on June 5th after separating 20% of the funds that will be split among the first users. Recently I hired a Back-End specialist that will assist me on building the API, that will be integrated in the near future with Syscoin’s Javascript API, which is being developed by Dan Wasyluk and will be released soon. Unlike an ICO or other means of raising funds, we have decided to show our idea to the community, and we have had a good feedback so far, in addition to a large number of visits to our crowdfunding page, emails and shares in social networks, we also received our first donations.
Every donation, however big or small, has the same importance for us, our motivation is to know that the Bitcoin community is supporting our idea.
Who is part of the team?
Neylor Zaurisio Souza (Founder | Lead Developer)
Alan Silva de Albuquerque (Back-End Developer)
What about partners?
What is Syscoin and why we decided to use their blockchain-based smart-contracts for project.
Syscoin is an open-source blockchain-based crypto-currency, managed by Blockchain Foundry Inc., a Canadian-based company created by the Syscoin team. Dan Wasyluk is the team manager of Syscoin and the CEO of Blockchain Foundry Inc.
Syscoin's smart contract implementation is unlike any other Blockchain offering. The recent pitfalls / risks of the non-hardened contracts were nefariously exploited (As you can see in The DAO case is only the beginning; theft and multiple forks eventually generated a loss of several million dollars). Syscoin’s hardened smart contracts are immutable and fixed and cannot be exploited like a turing-complete scripting platform such as Ethereum. These hardened contracts considerably reduce the chance of creating an “Ethereum Classic” scenario which happened when the Ethereum community rolled back the chain to unsuccessfully save the DAO funds.
Other features present in the latest 2.1 version of Syscoin's Blockchain is the identity, escrow and price-peg services which were also essential for us to be able to create our project with the UI / UX we wanted.
After a long search among various technologies in the market, we came to the conclusion that Syscoin was the best choice. At the time, we met with Dan Wasyluk and presented our idea. We not only received great feedback and suggestions from the entire Blockchain Foundry Inc. team but they have also agreed to provide their full support in publicizing our project. We plan to partner with Blockchain Foundry Inc. to create the necessary architecture and applications required within Syscoin's Blockchain to integrate with our API.
What's next? Any update coming?
We are building our API and soon we will announce our Product Design team.
