SuperNET Tuesday Update 21/03/2017
On today’s SuperNet Tuesday Update, we are going to talk about the upcoming event in which we will be present, KMD coin, the recent developments of the Iguana Multiwallet and more.
Komodo
Komodo has seen a fair bit of action in recent times. Its security has been put
to the test in the form of a bug exploit
which we talked about on our last update. The bug was fixed, the chain was rolled back and the problem was solved in no time. The attacker was even awarded a bug bounty despite his malicious actions.
The price of the Komodo coin is also improving, KMD is currently sitting at 0.00008066 having grown 11.70% since last week on the KMD/BTC market.
KMD mining is also growing in popularity. Another Komodo pool is now available. Users can point their hash power to Aikapool. You can see a list of all existing KMD pools here (Aikapool is currently being added).
BlockShow 2017
In order to expand Komodo’s outreach, the SuperNET team will be present at the BlockShow2017 conference on April 6th.
The BlockShow is a conference organized by CoinTelegraph. It is a major informational and networking platform for showcasing established Blockchain solutions. Our speaker will be security expert ca333, who has an excellent understanding of our platform and blockchain in general. To assist ca333, we will also send Alice and Polycryptoblog.
Iguana Update
For security reasons, everyone is recommended to update to the latest Iguana release which can be found here.
We will also be releasing useful guides like how to install and run Iguana directly on a USB pen and general wallet instructions. Stay tuned.
Iguana Renamed to Agama
Iguana is a name that we’ve all grown used to and with our latest change in brand, we will come to use it less often. However, this change is a technical one and it is necessary in order to avoid future confusion
In the past, we built a new Bitcoin implementation called 'Iguana Core' which fuels the multiwallet. Because of this similarity we have decided to change the name to Agama.
This rebrand should not affect the platform in any way as we have yet to begin our marketing strategy which we will do once the wallet is complete.
And just in case you’re wondering: Yes, Agama is a lizard
