Dear Corbin Elementary School Families and Community,
Every August, something special begins to happen inside the walls of Corbin Elementary School.
The hallways that have stood as part of our community’ s story for more than 125 years begin to fill with laughter again. Teachers put the finishing touches on classrooms they’ ve thoughtfully prepared for months. Staff members eagerly review student names, already planning how they will encourage, challenge, and celebrate each child. And before long, more than 400 students and educators will gather together each morning, one school family united by a shared purpose: helping every child learn, grow, and thrive. That is the story of Corbin Elementary.
While our school has a rich tradition, what makes CES truly special has never been the building itself. It is the people inside it. It is the relationships that are built, the high expectations that are embraced, and the unwavering belief that every student is capable of remarkable things. We are incredibly proud of our tradition of academic excellence, but even more proud that our students are known, supported, and challenged each day by adults who genuinely care about them.

This year, our fourth and fifth grade students will once again learn within our team-based structure, giving them the opportunity to work with multiple outstanding teachers who collaborate daily to meet each child’ s academic, social, and emotional needs. This intentional approach helps students become confident learners while preparing PRINCIPAL them for future Liberty Roberts success.
Learning at CES extends far beyond the classroom. Students can discover new passions through our 21st Century afterschool program, which offers opportunities in areas such as choir, chess, coding, art, and many other enriching activities. They can also represent Corbin with pride through our academic team and athletic programs, including basketball, cross country, cheerleading, archery, and more. Every opportunity is another chapter in each child’ s story of growth.

Open House is an opportunity to meet your child’ s teachers, explore classrooms, ask questions, and begin building the partnerships that are so important to student success. We believe the strongest schools are built when families, educators, and the community work together, and we are grateful for the trust you place in us each day.
As principal, I often say there is no place quite like Corbin Elementary. It is a place where excellence is expected, kindness is celebrated, and every child is encouraged to discover who they are and what they can become. That has been our story for generations, and we are excited to begin writing the next chapter together.
