Coral reefs also play a huge role in the medicine world. It is believed that there are many organisms within coral reefs that are believed to treat many diseases, such as cancer,, asthma, ulcers, bacterial infections, heart disease, and many more. When these reefs are destroyed, we are limiting ourselves of any potential cures to so many life threatening diseases20.
