OFFICER BIOS

Vivian Xue - President

Avete comites ! I ’ d like to acknowledge that the last time I gave an officer update was in early spring , at which time I could not have possibly foreseen the glorious , chaotic , sleep-deprived saga that this past summer had in store . The week I spent actually at home in July , I spent five wonderful days in castra bouncing between hyper buzzing , tie dye , and shoving copious amounts of wet , paint-covered posters in car trunks , all while being fueled by 5 packs of blueberry Belvita alone . The following week , at Nats , I ran five ( technically , six and a half ) late-night state fellowships , attended ( against my own volition ) national nom-com , and coordinated VA spirit efforts with so many outstanding individuals , whom I ’ d like to now shout out : an immeasurable thank you to Josh and Kaitlyn , my indispensable officers who helped run fellowship ; to Reesey , Rex , and Alec , who stepped up in the eleventh hour to pull us through spirit ; to Mackenzie , my right-hand lady and roommate extraordinaire ; to Alex , who deserves my gratitude for reasons I cannot enumerate , but reasons nonetheless ; to the entirety of the Hayfield delegation for their painstaking silent spirit effort ( Jackie , Bailey , Max , Belle , and of course , Ms . Ghosheh and Mr . Jefferson ); and to all you VJCL delegates who attended , who buzzed your hearts out at certamen , who V-A-ed your loudest at GA , and who sat through fellowship , which is now affectionately nicknamed Vivian-and-Josh-crazy-time . Truly , earnestly , wholly in a way that cannot be put into words : thank you .
