We have all eaten beef from birth but most of us dont know what part of the animal we are eating, it can be different parts of the animal. Some of the most popular beef cuts are short loin, sirloin, round steak and rib.

In this article I will show the short loin, sirloin, round steak and rib cut, so that way it will be more easy for you to choose the perfect cut for your recipe. First of all I'm going to talk about the short loin. It's an part of the cow that it is found behind the ribs, it is the more expensive beef, 40 dollars for 2 persons.

Secondly is the sirloin cut. The sirloin is a good part of the cow that comes from under the ribs. One pound of this cut can cost from $2-$4 dollars.

A third cut of meat is the round steak or roast. This come from the cow's rump, it's a lean cut with little fat, that makes this more hard to cook. A round steak can cost 5 dollars per pound and you will need one pound per person. A consequense of the absence of fat is that it isn't perfect for grill.

The final example is the rib. In the rib is were we can find the best cuts like prime rib, short ribs and rib eye steaks.The price is between $4-$6 dollars per pound.

We can see there are many types of meat cuts and many ways to cook them.Wich one do you prefer?
