Leadership Putnam JENNY SPURLOCK, CHAIR Accomplishments & Highlights:

• Held a reunion for the past 25 years of LP classes, and awarded the“ best class ever” award to the first LP class, the class of 1991.
• Launched the class of 2017 in June of 2016 under the Chamber’ s leadership.

Highlands Health and Wellness Committee LINSEY ARFSTEN, CHAIR Accomplishments & Highlights

• Coordinated another successful Highlands Fitness Challenge with increased participation in our Highlands’ partner counties.
• Survey results from 2016’ s Challenge reveal that 85 % of the participant respondents were motivated to exercise due to the challenge with 83 % saying they actually exercised more; 90 % reported feeling better, 55 % lost weight and 90 % said they would participate again.

COMMUNITY APPEARANCE COMMITTEE JILL HORNER, CHAIR Accomplishments & Highlights:

• Continued to proactively seek out ways to beautify Cookeville as a committee, especially in the areas of gateway improvements.
• Facilitated discussions concerning advocacy for our community in the area of development, etc.
• Formulated plans for a revamp and refocus for the committee in the 2017 year.
