Chapter 6
The First Night Ever
She Saw Him Cook
She came through the door and greeted him in the kitchen. He grabbed her close and
in a low voice asked, “How was your day?” but before she could answer, he drew her face to
his. They felt the heat as he drew his lips closer to hers, and as they looked into each other’s
eyes, they saw the steam coming up between them. Just then, he realized the heat they were
feeling was from the oven, and the steam between them was coming from the asparagus on the
stove. This moment would have to wait. He had a night planned that would be hotter than any
oven and steamier than any vegetable on the stove. He was about to romance his love with a
dinner that would end with their favorite dessert. She kicked off her shoes as he turned on the
music and poured her a glass of wine. She sat back and relaxed as her lover stirred up things
in the kitchen. Little did he know that with every spice he chopped, her body trembled with
excitement. As he began to cook the appetizer, he looked over and read her body language.

He walked towards her with a
spoonful of what he was cooking
and as he put the taste to
her lips, he realized she was
beginning to simmer with
passion. “This was just the
appetizer,” he thought to
himself. He was tempted
to go right for dessert,
but held back; she was just
starting to warm up, and he didn’t want her undercooked. The table was set with candles; the
light from them reflected her beauty as never before. They sat and fed each other the appetizer;
he could not believe her reaction. She leaned in and gave him a kiss, and as her bare foot ran up
and down his leg, she whispered in a low sensual voice “What’s next?” He quickly cleaned up the
appetizer and began the main course. She came into the kitchen to watch, but something was
happening. As he cooked, the
smile she gave was unlike any
he had ever seen before. It
was mysterious…and sexy
…. and exciting. She came
close to him and asked
if there was anything she
could do for him. Not quite
sure what to say, he replied,
“I’ll let you know.” She
leaned in, gave him a slow,
wet kiss, and walked away.
For a moment, he forgot
what he was cooking and
had to refer back to the
menu. “This romance
cooking thing is really
working,” he thought.
