Rockdale Medical Center Women’s Diagnostic
Breast Center, dedicated to meeting the
comprehensive healthcare needs specific
to women, provides a comfortable, private
environment with a caring, professional staff. This
women-only suite offers all types of screening
and diagnostic breast exams for women,
including advanced all-digital mammography,
3-D ultrasound equipment, stereotactic breast
biopsies, and a dedicated breast table allowing
for prone breast biopsies under MRI guidance.
Maintaining a healthy heart
To help keep your heart healthy, there’s cardiac
care and rehabilitation at RMC. Because there
are multiple causes of chest pain, a thorough
evaluation of a patient’s cardiac risk factors is
important. RMC is an Accredited Chest Pain
Center through the Society of Cardiovascular
Patient Care. Accredited hospitals have achieved
a higher level of expertise when dealing with
patients who arrive with symptoms of a heart
attack.
In RMC’s Heart and Vascular Center, in
partnership with Piedmont Heart Institute,
cardiovascular disease specialists with expertise
in a wide range of evaluations can perform
life-saving procedures, such as percutaneous
coronary intervention, more commonly known
as angioplasty and stenting. Additionally, RMC’s
experienced vascular surgeons and medical
professionals can open blocked vessels, stop
bleeding vessels, and remove blood clots in the
Cardiac Cath Lab. These highly trained vascular
surgeons perform advanced vascular surgery
procedures, such as carotid artery stenting and
abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, all in one of
the hospital’s well-appointed operating suites.
