The Injection
The Contraceptive injection is an
injection that is given to a woman
every three months. The injection
contains progesterone and thickens the cervical mucus so that
sperm cannot reach the egg.
Some injections also prevent
ovulation. The invention of the
contractive in jection came about
following the invention of the pill.
Initially it was injected with an
alcohol base and then developed
into a safer drug in the 1970s
