By royal appointment
When Sixth Former Billy Hill was invited to play his
violin at Buckingham Palace, he suspected at first that
someone was having a laugh.
But the invitation was genuine, and Billy’s moment in
the Palace spotlight did indeed come to pass.
Accompanied by renowned blues guitarist Ramon Goose,
he treated his audience to a selection of contemporary
folk songs – which in the middle of a classical programme
visibly relaxed the mood in the room.
