Time   Time can be... v Objective. In objective time, that's the actual time something takes. A hot pocket that is microwaving for 2 minutes in a microwave is objective time. v Subjective. In subjective time, it's how long you mentally thought time felt like to you. Waiting for an important job interview, which will actually be in 5 minutes, may seem like 30 minutes to you in your mind, that's subjective time. Time is shown by... v Embodying Time; uses physical evidence and proof that an artwork. It can show the evidence of the process of creating the art. v Representing Time; using symbolic processes to show time. Examples are clocks, watches, sun, sunset/sunrise, and the moon. Narrating with "before" and "after” or "at 5:00" also shows what the time is. Example of: Both embodying time and representing time: Susan Yim: Trees. Trees show deforestation of trees due to human activity chopping trees for their resources. It embodies time by the progression of the main tree getting older while older trees in the back are getting chopped. And the weather is changing. It represents time by the sun moving left to right.
