NOTICE OF ELECTION OF DIRECTORS
In April 2018, three of the nine seats on the NACBA Board of Directors are to be filled by election of the members. The seats to be filled are currently held by Edward Boltz, Esq., Durham, NC( Seat # 3), Rachel Foley, Esq., Independence, MO( Seat # 4), and Carol Colliersmith, Esq., Marietta, GA( Seat # 9). The incumbents may be candidates. The terms of the Directors will be three( 3) years.
NACBA’ s Bylaws( updated January 5, 2017) provide, in part: 6.2 Declaration of Candidacy.
Between January 1st and January 10th of each year, the Secretary shall inquire of each Director whose term expires at the Annual Convention for that year as to whether said Director will seek re-election. Each such Director shall, by January 20th of that year, either declare candidacy for re-election as a Director by notice to the Secretary, or that Director shall be barred from seeking election as a Director in that year ' s election.
No earlier than January 27th of each year, the Secretary shall notify members of a twenty-day period in which they may declare candidacy for any specific Director ' s seat to be vacated. Such notification may be included in the Corporation newsletter to the membership. Such notice shall advise members as to which incumbent Directors have declared their candidacy for re-election that year and which incumbents are not running for reelection. Any member with voting privileges may declare candidacy. No member may declare candidacy for more than one Director ' s seat in the same election.
Pursuant to Bylaw 6.2, you are hereby notified that the incumbent Directors whose seats are up for election in 2017 have declared their candidacies, as follows:

If you wish to declare your candidacy for any of the seats to be filled, you must complete the following“ Declaration of Candidacy – 2018”. You must specify the seat for which you are a candidate, and the Declaration must be received by NACBA, 2200 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, 4th Floor, Washington, DC 20037 no later than 5:00 p. m. PDT, Tuesday, February 20, 2018. If you are mailing your Declaration on or after Tuesday, February 20, 2018, also fax a copy of that Declaration to 866.408.9515. It is a candidate ' s responsibility to confirm that their declaration was received.
