Current Provisions
Proposal
The Veterinarians Act establishes the following
committees 3 : It is proposed that the following statutory
committees would be prescribed by statute:
1. Executive Committee. • Executive Committee
2. Accreditation Committee. 3. Registration Committee. • Investigations and Resolutions
Committee
4. Complaints Committee. • Discipline Committee
5. Discipline Committee. • Registration Committee
For the purpose of panel composition, the following
provisions are in place: • Quality Assurance Committee
• With respect to the Complaints Committee, a panel
shall be composed of at least three members of the
committee, at least one of whom is a person whom
the Lieutenant Governor in Council has appointed
to the Council, to consider and investigate a
complaint 4 . For the purpose of panel compositions, the
following compositions are proposed:
• With respect to the Discipline Committee, a panel
shall be composed of at least three members of the
committee, at least one of whom is a person whom
the Lieutenant Governor in Council has appointed
as a member of the Council and at least one of
whom is a person who is both a member of the
College and a member of the Council 5 .

• Accreditation Committee
• With respect to the Discipline

members of the committee, at least one
of whom shall be a public member and
at least one of the members of a panel
shall be both a member of the College
and a member of the Council.

any other relevant committee, each
panel shall be composed of at least three
members of the committee, at least one
