HYUNDAI EXPAND NEXT GENERATION RANGE WITH HX210L EXCAVATOR
HYUNDAI have launched the new HX210L crawler excavator, a 22-tonne model developed specifically for the UK plant hire and rental market.
Unveiled at Hillhead 2026, the machine joins the manufacturer’ s expanding Next Generation excavator range, offering improved fuel efficiency, lower AdBlue consumption and enhanced operator comfort compared with its predecessor.
Designed and engineered to compliment the high-specification HX230L, the HX210L shares the same heavy-duty platform and features a 4.2-tonne counterweight, delivering a 10 % increase over the previous A-Series model to maximize stability and lifting capacity. The counterweight has the distinctive‘ Tiger Eye’ rear design, already seen on other Next Generation machines. The reinforced upper structure, upgraded swing bearing and increased swing torque provide improved rotating performance and increased productivity.
Power comes from Hyundai’ s DX05 diesel engine, which uses a wastegate turbocharger to deliver 830Nm of torque, a 6 % increase over the previous HX210A L. According to Hyundai, the engine consumes around 7 % less fuel while reducing AdBlue consumption by 30 %.
The excavator features a proven pilot-controlled hydraulic system, incorporating virtual bleed off( VBO) technology that optimizes hydraulic flow and reduces energy losses to improve overall operating efficiency.
Operator comfort has also been upgraded, with the latest Next Generation cab featuring improved seating, redesigned controls, enhanced ventilation and interior lighting. Hyundai’ s latest 12.8in full- HD touchscreen monitor provides personalized control of machine functions and easy-to-read operating data, while an advanced climatecontrol system uses air temperature and solar sensors to optimize internal temperatures in the cab.
To reduce downtime and maintenance costs, the HX210L offers 1,000h service intervals. A revised urea tank design delivers an 18.8 % boost in AdBlue capacity, integrated grease feed lines for improved pin lubrication and safer side-access servicing points.
Hyundai say the HX210L has been engineered to deliver a combination of lower operating costs, greater productivity and increased reliability for fleet owners and rental customers.
