INGENIOUS FRIENDSHIP ENGINEERING ! !
STEP 3 :
Try to make the dam as watertight as possible . Push clay , moss , mud and leaves into any of the gaps .
STEP 4 :
Now it ’ s time for testing . Pour the water into the larger empty area of the container or tray until it almost reaches the top of the dam . Then stand back . How successful is your dam ? It doesn ’ t matter if a little water seeps through . This actually happens when beavers build their own dams . Which materials worked best ? What materials could be more useful ? What would you do differently next time ?
