Consciousness for Living Stress-Free continued...
Stress is a symptom of the conscious not being aware of itself. Imagine the graceful washing away and releasing of the illusion. What do you see, feel and experience? Possibly, it is an expansive sense of peace, void of anything other than love. You have now enabled yourself to supersede the heaviness of the mind and tapped into the infinite energy of the subconscious – conscious – superconscious. You are never without the ability to flex into and through these different states of being. Remember, the state of your life is a reflection of your state of mind. Where is your inner peace? Why has it eluded you? What do you need to do to discover it again?
Exercise: We all have a sacred space we can connect with. This place is only available to you as it comes from YOUR soul / spirit. This is a way to unplug and take time to re-connect with your most inner part of yourself and most expansive part of your being.
Clear your mind and imagine a blue sky with some fluffy clouds. There can be a hawk in the distance. Now, think of a place that when you are there it brings you such a sense of peace and calm you can’ t help but feel your body relax and a smile on your face. This may be a place you have been in the past, your favorite place to go or someplace new for you.
Allow yourself to become immersed in this visual. It will be as if you are really there. Soak in the energy and take ownership of it. Feel it infuse into all parts of you mind, body and spirit. You feel a new sense of strength, you feel a passion within for living and vitalized as the purity of a newborn baby. When you feel you have connected fully, give thanks to this space. You can perform a blessing or say one of your own. As you return to your body in the earth plane, know that you are now able to visit this sacred place anytime. You may use this place to meditate, ask questions and get answers, talk to loved ones, connect with others you wish to communicate with or just go to regroup and gain more positive energy.
There is an ever-moving flow of what is eternal and what is changing. Through us we bring forth what is needed and wanted, for our highest good. From this day forward, live from the eyes of your observer and notice what is the illusion. From the conscious expansion, you will have new experiences. Be grateful for breath, wisdom and life.
A Healthy Winter Breakfast
Sweet potatoes, kale and eggs.
This recipe takes healthy ingredients often found on a breakfast plate and spices it up to include a lot more plants. This makes a great weekend brunch when time isn’ t an issue. If you’ re pressed for time, make the potatoes, onions, garlic and kale the night before.
Depending on eggs served or how hungry you are this makes 2-4 servings.
What you’ ll need...
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 1 / 2 of an onion, sliced
• 3 garlic cloves, minced
• 1 medium sweet potato, cut into 1 / 4 inch rounds then cubed
• 1 teaspoon thyme
• 1 teaspoon rosemary
• 1 / 2 teaspoon salt
• 3-5 leaves of kale, chopped well
• 2-4 farm fresh eggs
• 1 tablespoon minced olives
• 2 tablespoons minced sun dried tomatoes( for convenience, buy these in a jar)
• black pepper
1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit. Place 1 tablespoon of olive in an oven-safe pan with a lid( I used a cast iron pan with a cookie sheet as a lid). Add the onions and garlic, stir well to coat the onions with oil.
2 In a small bowl place 1 tablespoon olive oil, the cubed potatoes, thyme, rosemary and salt. Stir well to coat. Add this to the oven-safe pan, leaving the onions on the bottom of the pan( otherwise they may burn).
3 Bake, uncovered, for 30 minutes or until the potatoes are cooked through.
4 Add the chopped kale. Stir well. Continue to bake uncovered for 5 minutes or until the kale is gently wilted.
5 Add the cracked eggs individually to the pan. Top with the olives and tomatoes. Lightly salt the eggs.
6 Cook, covered, for an additional 7-8 minutes or until the eggs are cooked to your preference.
7 Remove from the oven and lightly dust with freshly ground pepper. Serve immediately.
