HEALTHY LIVING

.

My journey to wholistic living began over fifteen years ago. Over the years I have tried many different types of eating lifestyles from vegetarian to vegan, raw food to juicing. The many supplements and herbs that I have used to add various vitamins and minerals to my lifestyle have been a great asset to my health especially when weight training.

As some of you may know many foods here in the United States are GMO or genetically modified, I think this may be the main reason why we may need to really keep up with making sure we have the right levels of nutrients. When I was in the Caribbean and Africa I never felt like I had to worry abut nutrients or deficiencies. I found that the food I ate while in those countries felt more nutritionally rich and full of everything my body needed to be healthy and whole.

II began learning about something called Superfoods in the past few years. Superfoods are sometimes described as food with high nutrient or phytochemical content. I truly believe all of our foods can be Superfoods when grown in the most organic environment with the best intentions. The idea of supplements are great but why not eat something that has not been processed at all and is in it's raw state for optimum health? Here is a beginning list of 7 Superfoods and their benefits. I would encourage you to try them out for yourself and take note of how you and your body feels after ingestion.
