yielded to fatigue. As I closed my eyes, images of my family helped calm me and for the briefest moment I escaped. Amidst all this chaos, the comforting thoughts of them kept me from going insane. Dehydrated and exhausted, I eventually fell asleep. A wave of guilt crashed down and woke me as I thought of my mother, home alone. With all that had happened this week and all that I’d been through, I’d forgotten to phone home.
