the sex of romances, but I also like creating the different worlds that come about in the
aftermath of some sort of destruction.
From where do you draw your inspiration?
My inspiration mostly comes from my fellow authors. I love to read, and I’ll read pretty
much anything you sit in front of me. I like getting so caught up in a book that I wonder
what I would do with a situation similar, which then leads me to a piece. I also read at
night, so I tend to go to bed thinking about what I’ve read, this in turn causes me to
have vivid and interesting dreams, some of which I manage to remember bits and
pieces of in the morning and in some cases those pieces b ecome novels.
Do you ever base your characters on real people in your life? Does it help
your characters come alive?
I like to name my characters after people I know, but my character doesn’t normally
have the person’s personality. I will take certain parts of someone’s personality and
base a character off that. A number of my characters have parts of me in them, of
course. Eve, from ALONE, has my OCD and my need to be in control. Abby, from
SHIFTER, has my body type and my insecurities. Amy, from HIM, has my defiance and
anger. I think this helps readers relate to him more..
Which of your books is your favorite and why?
HIM, my upcoming suspense thriller, is my favorite. I love the story, the emotional battle
my characters go through, and their bravery in facing someone so dark. I even love the
time period in which I set it. ALONE is my baby. It is my first novel and the one that was
the hardest to write. The novel didn’t seem to want to come together easy, so for that I
love it, but it isn’t my favorite. SHIFTER is funny and has some great sex scenes, and
shows my writing style at its finest, but the story isn’t complicated, so as much as I love
it as well, I don’t love it as much as I do HIM.

My current novel, SHIFTER, is a supernatural romance. A month after having a one-night-stand
with a psychotic witch whom he completely forgets about, shapeshifter Dimitri Sullivan finds
himself cursed into the form a small kitten and left on the doorstep of an animal hospital/shelter.
The witch was hoping that the shelter would put him sleep or at the very least neuter him, but
instead a slightly overweight woman, adopts him by the name of Abby Sinclair, who is escaping life
after suffering greatly under at the hands of her ex-boyfriend. As Dimitri gets to know his knew
owner, he begins to fall in-love with her, unfortunately, his older brother enters the picture looking
for him, and he takes a liking to Abby as well. Eventually Abby discovers who he is, and as the two
get to know each other, Dimitri’s curse begins to wear off, which the witch isn’t happy about, She
would rather see Abby dead than see Dimitri love a woman the way he could never love her.
