he agronomy department is in full
swing for the 2014 crop season and
the choices available to the producer
are endless. Seed, chemical and management
techniques are changing every year, and the
number of choices can be overwhelming at
times. At United Ag, it’s our job to keep you
informed and help you maximize your profits.
It’s not too late to book your seed, and we
carry a full lineup from a variety of companies.
We deal in corn, cotton, milo and soybeans,
as well as range and pasture seeds. Companies include Dekalb, Croplan, Asgrow, Terral,
BH, NK, Deltapine, Phytogen, FiberMax and
Stoneville. Seed is available in both bags and
bulk, and we offer some great discounts for
early pay.
Our chemical warehouses in El Campo,
Danevang and Edna are stocked and ready
to roll for all your preseason and in-season
needs. Our bulk tanks offer a great way to get

the best price and offer ease of use for your
operation. Our bulk lineup includes Roundup
Powermax, Atrazine, Prowl H2O, Outlook
and Warrant. Now is the perfect time to
think about what tools you can use to start
clean and stay clean on your farm. Not only
will this improve crop health and yields, it
will minimize the impact of resistant weeds.
Products such as Valor and Lead Off offer
strong over-winter and pre-plant protection,
as well as Warrant and Outlook for pre-plant
and in-season protection.
It has certainly been a great year for United
Ag and the agronomy department is excited
to be able to offer you such a broad range of
service — from seed, chemical and fertilizer
needs to scouting, grid sampling and custom application. Our spray truck has been a
huge success and we are ready for those early
spring applications, so come in and see what
we can do to help keep your pastures clean.
We have also had a lot of success with the grid
