t’s hard to believe that the crops are out of the fields and the
combines are put away for another year. Though this year’s
harvesting season is over, we need to be considering and
implementing plans to market crops. Much of the 2013 crop has
been priced and sold, although there is still a substantial amount in
storage. This storage is primarily comprised of corn, as most of the
milo has been contracted and shipped. We have started marketing next year’s pool. Currently, we have roughly 20 percent hedged
with short futures and are looking for opportunities in the market
