The tow, consisting of two 3,000-ton barges pushed by the 2,000 horsepower M/V Salvation, arrived at the Port of Victoria turning basin in the early morning hours. The journey consisted of more than 430 miles of “West Canal” Intercoastal Waterways — navigating through five sets of locks, a set of flood gates and a couple of open bays.
