Many of you are probably already familiar with our Emerald Extras
program. It is a rewards program sponsored by United Ag, Winfield and
major chemical companies. Not only did we have more than 30 growers
qualify for great prizes like TV’s, iPads and cruises, there were seven
qualifiers for a trip to Hawaii. The great part is that not only do the farmers
qualify, but their wives get to enjoy a getaway to a tropical destination, too!
This year, the trip was to Maui and qualifiers were treated to the best food
and activities that Hawaii has to offer. The photo to the left was taken by
one our qualifiers. Everyone had a great time, and most of them are looking
forward to next year’s trip to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.
Qualifiers will relax in the 5-star Hard Rock Hotel and Casino located on
beautiful white sand beaches. These trips are almost better than free — all the
growers did to qualify was purchase products they were buying anyway. It
really is a trip of a lifetime, and we are glad to have such strong partnerships
in the industry to allow our growers to participate in such programs. To find
