The VFD is not limited to antibiotics in beef
cattle feeds. This regulation also affects water-soluble antibiotics utilized in swine, poultry, wildlife,
sheep and goat feeds. There are other products
within the United Ag store that will also see
changes. Tetroxy HCA, Tylan Soluble Powder and
Multi-Wormer Poultry will now require a VFD
order.
Products containing Rumensin, Bovatec (lasolacid), and Decoquimate (deccox) are not affected
by the Veterinary Feed Directive.

UA’s new trailer will
improve delivery time
In August, United Ag purchased a bulk feed
trailer to better serve our customers. This trailer
has six compartments with a total carrying
capacity of 42,000 lbs, serving a dual purpose
with its ability to deliver bulk High Caliber Deer
Corn as well as Purina Bulk Feed. This will ensure
timely delivery of both products to United Ag
customers. At times, the Purina mill is seven to
fourteen days out on deliveries. However, if you
pick up your order it can typically be ready
in 48 hours. We are excited about having this
additional resource in our tool box as we go
into the busy winter months.
The VFD will affect some of United
Ag’s most popular and effective
products, including Accuration and
Wind & Rain Medicated Minerals.
