SUPPLY CATTLE Winter is not the time to back off taking care of the factory fill the nutritional gap in an economical way with very little labor. The Accuration liquids are designed to be fed free choice to the cow herd alongside ample forage or hay. Accuration Range Liquid 32-10 is typically the product of choice during the winter feeding period to maintain body condition in the cow herd. This 32 percent protein, 10 percent fat product is low in moisture ( less than 30 percent) and functions to ensure maximum utilization of the forages ingested by the cow. The high quality protein makeup aids not only in supplementation of protein, but in the utilization of the forages. The 10 percent fat has unique capabilities not only in helping maintain body condition but the elevated fat content has a direct correlation with pregnancy rate. These two factors in particular help us achieve the maximal reproduction we mentioned earlier. From an economics standpoint, the pro- gram takes the labor and vehicle expense out of the expense column for the rancher because United Ag can deliver the product to the feeder, and also provides a very economical way to supplement cattle through the winter. Depending on available forage and life stage of the herd, consumptions on Accuration Range liquid products will be between 2.0 to 4.0 lbs./head/day during the winter feeding period. The investment on this program is in the range of $15 to $25/ head/month during the winter feeding period. The return on this investment is high if the program ensures a higher pregnancy rate and more pounds at weaning to sale. In summary, this winter could be the most important winter in recent history to make sure that the cow herd is taken care of. The projected markets put pressure on ranchers to ensure a maximum conception rate in the cow herd. This winter is not the time to back off taking care of the factory.
