COMMUNITY

MATTERS

The mantra of service above self has always helped drive the unique culture of Rea & Associates . Investing in our communities and caring for others is literally written into the Rea DNA via The Rea Way , our firm ’ s values statement .

Our Focus On Service In 2020

As the COVID-19 crisis took aim at our communities in 2020 , the Rea team never wavered in their commitment to community service . In fact , they stepped up to help more organizations and neighbors than ever before .
The Rea Foundation
Last year , The Rea Foundation , Rea ’ s non-profit corporation for charitable giving , received some extra attention . We added structure and formalized and improved processes in order to make a greater impact in our communities . Since beginning this initiative , we created three committees :
• FUNDRAISING ( chaired by Rick Lash , Independence ): This committee is responsible for finding ways to raise more funds through the foundation , and thus make a greater impact .
• CHARITABLE DONATIONS ( chaired by Ben Antonelli , Dublin ): This committee is responsible for reviewing and approving donation requests , as well as formalizing the overall mission of The Rea Foundation and the types of causes we support .
• MARKETING / COMMUNICATIONS ( chaired by Becca Johns , Rea Corporate Partners / Dublin ): This committee is responsible for adding additional transparency about the impact of The Rea Foundation . It will also help make The Rea Foundation a bigger part of Rea ’ s brand story .
We also appointed new trustees to the Rea Foundation board : Don McIntosh ( president ), Paul McEwan ( secretary ), Tammy Haney ( treasurer ), and trustees Ben Antonelli , Becca Johns , Rick Lash and Maribeth Wright .
2020 GIVING BY THE NUMBERS

Hauling Stone In Medina
Each year Team Medina members roll up their collective sleeves and spend the day volunteering for the Medina County Park District . This year , Rea employees spent the day spreading more than 10,000 pounds of stone to fill low spots and smooth out the trail at the new Granger Wetlands Wildlife Sanctuary , which is scheduled to open to the public in 2021 .
