Message From the President:
Summer has arrived!
Summertime in Maine is short – most of us living here would argue that it is far too short!
Since it is a tight window of time, it often leads to our members getting a lot accomplished
in a short period of time, whether it be work or play.
Many members consider buying their first home, moving to a new home or taking on
property upgrades over the summertime. This is a great time to talk to UCU about our
first time homebuyer programs, as well as the variety of other first and second mortgage
products available to our members.
We have all of the real estate lending products our members may need for purchase,
refinance or home improvement with a variety of programs available. Many members
don’t realize it, but real estate lending comprises almost 60% of our member loans at
UCU. Serving our members with quality real estate lending solutions coupled with local
servicing has been a priority at UCU over the years, and that focus remains intact today.
Summertime is also a common time for our members to purchase new and used
vehicles. UCU has made some recent changes to our automobile lending program to
become even more competitive in the market. We know that our terms and pricing are
second to none, and above all, we want you to know that we want your auto loan at UCU.
We work hard for all of our members to make the process easy, simple and efficient from
start to finish. When you are in the market for a vehicle or would like to get your auto loan
back to UCU, please do not hesitate to connect with us to explore the possibilities.
And finally, we are pleased to announce a new loan program available to our members –
student loan consolidation. Being a University based credit union, this is a program that
many of our members have been requesting for a long time, and we are pleased to be
able to introduce it. We have fixed and variable rate products available with a variety of
repayment terms to choose from.
Enjoy the Maine summer, and please keep UCU in mind when any of your lending needs
arise this season!
Best regards,
Matt
