On Wednesday, January 17th, the City of Los Angeles Contractor Development And Bonding Program (CDABP) facilitated a meeting to provide its 2017 Stewardship report to the various stakeholders the program serves. With its overarching theme labeled as Building Contractor Capacity: A Decade of Progress at Work, the 2017 Stewardship meeting offered a great forum to provide a comprehensive update on the impact the program has achieved in its governing objective of building small local contractor capacity over the last decade and further advancing the City's overall goal of greater contracting inclusivity.
CDABP was thrilled to have a broad range of representatives attending this meeting, including the Mayor’s Office, Office of Finance, City Administrator's Office, Public Works, Los Angeles World Airports, Port of Los Angeles, Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and members of the small business community, as well as several community-based organization advocates. More importantly, several program participants were provided the opportunity to share their firsthand experience of how the program was able to provide critical support necessary for them to enhance their contracting potential resulting in further growth of their respective companies.
CDABP would like to once again thank all of its program sponsors and stakeholders who attended the 2017 Stewardship meeting and we are even more excited about the prospects of what the future holds, considering the magnitude of contracting opportunities that the greater Los Angeles region has to offer in 2018 and beyond!
